The Staff Selection Commission has announced the notification for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL) 2025. SSC CGL 2025 Exam Pattern
The SSC CGL 2025 examination will be conducted in four tiers:
- Tier-I: Computer Based Examination (Objective Multiple Choice)
- Tier-II: Computer Based Examination (Objective Multiple Choice)
- Tier-III: Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi
- Tier-IV: Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test (wherever applicable)
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent. Different posts may have specific educational requirements.
Age Limit:
The age limit varies according to the posts:
- 18-27 years for most posts
- 18-30 years for certain positions
- 18-32 years for some specialized roles
Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for reserved categories.

SSC CGL Tier-I Syllabus
The Tier-I examination consists of four sections:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, etc.
- General Awareness: Current events, India and its neighboring countries, sports, history, culture, geography, economic scene, general policy, scientific research, etc.
- Quantitative Aptitude: Number systems, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, relationship between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, etc.
- English Comprehension: Spot the error, fill in the blanks, synonyms/antonyms, spelling/detecting misspelled words, idioms & phrases, etc.
