SBI PO Recruitment 2025 Overview
The State Bank of India conducts the Probationary Officer (PO) recruitment process annually to select candidates for the post of Probationary Officers in various branches across the country. The selection process consists of three stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) – Qualifying in nature
- Main Examination (Objective + Descriptive Type)
- Group Exercise & Interview
The Preliminary Examination consists of three sections:
- English Language (30 questions, 30 marks)
- Quantitative Aptitude (35 questions, 35 marks)
- Reasoning Ability (35 questions, 35 marks)
Each section has a separate time limit of 20 minutes, making the total duration of the exam 60 minutes (1 hour). There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Note: The Preliminary Examination is only qualifying in nature. Marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination are not added to the final score.
