JEE Advanced 2025 Overview

JEE Advanced 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Performance in JEE Main 2025

• Candidates must be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in JEE Main 2025.
• The category-wise distribution of the top 2,50,000 candidates qualifying from JEE Main 2025 is as follows:
  • General (GEN): 10%
  • General-EWS: 27%
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL): 27%
  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%
  • PwD (Horizontal reservation): 5% in each category

Age Limit

• Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000 (General/EWS/OBC-NCL)
• A relaxation of 5 years is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates (born on or after October 1, 1995)

Number of Attempts

• A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in consecutive years.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates should have appeared for the Class 12th (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2024 or 2025.
• Candidates who appeared for Class 12th in 2023 or earlier are not eligible.
• Candidates should have secured at least 75% marks in Class 12th examination (65% for SC/ST/PwD).
• Alternatively, candidates should be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class 12th board examination.

Foreign Nationals

• Foreign nationals are not required to write JEE Main 2025 but need to register directly for JEE Advanced 2025.
• Foreign nationals must satisfy all other eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2025.

JEE Advanced 2025 Registration Process

The registration process for JEE Advanced 2025 is expected to be completely online. Here are the steps to apply:

1. Visit the Official Website: Go to jeeadv.ac.in during the registration period.
2. Login: Use your JEE Main 2025 registration number and password to log in.
3. Fill the Application Form: Complete the application form with personal, academic, and contact details.
4. Upload Documents: Upload the following documents:
   • Passport-sized photograph (should follow the specifications given)
   • Signature (should follow the specifications given)
   • Class 10th certificate (for date of birth proof)
   • Class 12th certificate (if available)

JEE Advanced 2025 Exam Pattern
